JO DAVIE QUARTET AT GREEN JAM
Jo Davie is a versatile vocalist, songwriter and teacher with a diverse repertoire traversing the realms of jazz standards, through to traditional gypsy music and contemporary popular styles. Jo has recently completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, under the illustrious mentorship of Irene Bartlett. She passionately performs in both an originals duo, and her self-initiated Jo Davie Quartet, and was recently invited to showcase as part of the Brisbane Jazz Vocal Festival “Stars of the Future” event. Last year, she sang at both the Ozmanouche and Woodford Folk Festivals as the vocalist of ‘Cigany Weaver’ an emerging six-piece gypsy jazz band.
